Hello Kitty ar, is Snoopy in?
Bummer first. It’s only available in Japan.

Nonetheless, it does not hurt if we ogle and get real green with envy at the Japs for being the only people who could get their hands on these. The Toshiba 815T adorned with Hellp Kitty and Snoopy theme. The fun don’t stop at there because it comes in a package where you will get a Hello Kitty bag, mobile strap and a jewel box. The works, babeh. Goes without saying that it will be pimp to the brim with themed wallpapers, screensaver and ringtones.

See the Snoopy phone housing… or rest house… damn.
It has face recognition feature too, so no snooping around for those nosy you-know-who.
Yes, I know my titles are lame. It will always be lame. I like it that way. Haha…

Iron Road aka Via Ferrata up Mount Kinabalu
I have been wanting to go and try conquering Mt. Kinabalu for a few years now. Listened to stories told by friends and most of them are of beautiful greens and captivating sunrise. How excited I am now… to have found another alternative route that leads up to the summit. It’s going through the Iron Road / Via Ferrata up to Mount Kinabalu.
What the crap is Via Ferrata?
Via ferrata, or iron road, is a mountaineering sport that originated in Italy during World War 1. It is a mountain route equipped with fixed rungs, rails, cables, stemples (crossbars and supports), ladders and bridges.
It makes otherwise isolated routes accessible to people with a wide range of climbing abilities. The sport is popular all over Europe.
Mount Kinabalu’s via ferrata is the highest in the world, starting at 3,200 metres and ending at 3,800m above sea level. The next highest is in Italy, ending at 3,600m.
Statement by Tok, an experienced rock climber of 20 years.
“Doing the via ferrata route, a climber will experience the mountain through the eyes of a rock climber. The views, the terrain and the experience is unrivalled.”

Fuuuuuuuuuuuh…..
I am so psyched about this thing that my feet can’t stop shaking. I went through the gallery and hell, it looks damn inviting. Am sure a lot of my fellow climbers will be damn interested to have a go at this. I want to take The Low’s Peak Circuit route. Ale! Ale!
The Low’s Peak Circuit
Hike up to Low’s Peak, Mt Kinabalu’s highest point at 4,095m. On descent, take a via ferrata detour to see stunning views and explore hidden corners of the mountain plateau.
Who is it for?
Physically demanding, for those who are sure-footed, not fearful of heights, want to scale Southeast Asia’s highest point and the World’s highest via ferrata.
Grading : Intermediate – Everyone between 10 to 70
Duration : 4 – 6hrs over 2 days (Walk the Torq included)

One can also do some sport climbing at the roof of Borneo.
I think I have to start saving up for my Via Ferrata fund. Seeing the picture really does get my adrenaline going. And it sucks that I won’t be climbing this week, one – my unlimited pass has expired, two – I am going to Ipoh for a wedding this weekend. Argh…
Bee sent me this info. Thank you for making my jaws drop.
Definitely must-see

Most Beautiful Rainbow I’ve Heard
Cute 6 year old with no front teeth. Sings amazingly well. DiaperTalk might consider putting his daughters through some vocal training. Hehe…
Seriously, all these are highly recommended. Let me know what you think of it ya. My comments are now flooded with spam comments daily instead. Sigh.
Her first single “Over the Rainbow”/”White Christmas” will be out on Dec 3rd 2007. Let’s wait a few more days to see if it makes huge waves ya. Thanks R again. Why no one gave me this link earlier?

Bid Bid Bid for Prize
How many of you have tried your luck to win some free gifts online? I had recently tried and won in a online contest but am still awaiting for the organizers to contact me. Mmm… It’s a consolation prize, but it kind of gave some motivation to search for more freebies online. Hehe…

Anyway check out Bid4Prizes.com where you have a chance to win some cash prize by just guessing the lowest unique number. It’s quite easy when you know how to but fear not, they have a cool how-to play presentation in multimedia form. Currently there are 34 prizes up for grabs. The Sony Vaio and Seascooter XL seems to be calling my name. There is a sweepstake to… so anyone might have a chance of getting something.
Oh my… the 50,000 cash looks oh so tempting. My unique guess for it would be… *secret* Go ahead and give it a shot. You might get some nice surprises just in time for Christmas.

I Know Nuts About Opera or Paul Potts
Another popular Pot from the UK huh. This time it’s just Potts. I had no inkling of who he is and when R, my exhousemate sent me the YouTube link I was not tempted to click it, at all. Nope. But I did anyway out of boredom and it was an audition for British’s Got Talent show. He blew me away hard. And it’s my first time seeing a standing ovation for an audition and even the judges were floored. Simon Cowell had nothing but praises I dare say. Watching it on YouTube can make you feel lil’ goose bumps let alone being in the presence of Paul Potts. Humble fellow to boot.
Audition
Semi-Final
Final
Are you impressed yet? I am not even an opera fan and he moved me somehow when even the late Pavarotti can’t. Maybe it was his humble beginnings and the fact that I was not expecting anything of that proportion to hit me. Smack!

Black 28th Nov
Sorry people. My host server was down yesterday. It was actually since Tuesday night. Got three emails saying that the server’s power supply went dead and they got it fixed and back running at 4am. Unfortunately the power supply failure managed to spark a chain reaction affecting the RAM and hard disk. Everything is back to normal now. Let’s hope no more hiccups from now on. Or not so major.
Received an sms early yesterday morning. Followed by MSN message. And to wrap it up in the later part of the evening an email. A girl, Dora was kidnapped and apparently held for ransom. Ooo… glad that she is safe now. Read via Lowyat.Net
Back to my part. I wasted an hour in Kelana Jaya LRT parking lot because a broken down bus. Of all the places to break down they chose to do it at the narrow opening where it joins to the main road. Mix it with another two dungu bus drivers you get a freaking jam. One stopped behind the broken down bus. The other smart fellow tried to squeeze through the right lane. Plainly they failed. Irate drivers was honking and getting out of their cars. I just reclined my seat and made random calls to friends and family. Only got home around 9 plus.

Of Pancakes and Beatles
Headed over to Paddington House of Pancakes for dinner before going for the free screening of Across the Universe yesterday night. The meal at Paddington was scrumptious. Used the Mystyle voucher and it came free with a complimentary pancake. The people there will give you a list and you choose either a savoury or sweet. Asked the waitress to recommend and she asked us to go for the Pot of Gold. It’s mini pancakes topped with an ice-cream, laced with melted chocolate syrup and sprinkled with crunchy nut bits. Maple syrup are optional. It came first and we chomped delightfully on it. Our dessert cum appetizer haha… it was a taste of what will come next.

The next dish, the Double Gourmet Sausage came right after we finished our Pot of Gold… with a lapse moment just enough for us to get some liquid down. Two huge chicken cheese sausage, two beef salami, hashbrown, three cherry tomatoes, fresh lettuce layered on top of two lightly cheese-spreaded pancakes. Again, the pancakes were just the size of McMuffin. I initially thought it won’t be enough to satisfy both of our tummy but I was proven wrong. The sausage… mmm… was delicious with cheese oozing at knife point. The salami paired well with the pancake as it was a tad salty. The green vege and mini tomatoes gave the whole dish a beautiful colour and added a cool bite to the otherwise hot meaty dish. We practically cleaned the plate. We paid RM33.83 inclusive of a Iced Lemon Tea, warm water and tax. Oh the complimentary Pot of Gold was worth RM10.50. Hurried over to the cinema to catch Across the Universe.
Warning No Spoiler ahead.
Personally the movie is great. I loved it. I shall not elaborate on it but I am certain that many would think otherwise. For a free screening the crowd was not encouraging, many empty seats and quite a number left during mid movie according to my gf who was paying attention to the people behind rather than the movie. Yes, she is one of them who think the movie is crap. Luckily I met a fellow climber who shared the same boat as me. Both of us agreed it was cun melecun and would be getting the DVD version of it when it comes out. It kind of renewed my love for the composition of John Lennon and Paul McCartney and the different versions of the songs sung gives a different sound. Loads of things to look out for if you enjoy the movie. Shall stop here for now so as not to spoil the fun for those of you who plan to watch it.
Yes, my skeptical ass has been kicked hard.

Hayden in GQ mag … yum
I am a fan of the TV series Heroes but I have not watched a single episode of season two. I am not fond of having to chase and camp for every episode. I would rather wait for it to finish. The cheerleader has been saved hence the world is saved. Unfortunately it seems the onslaught of Hayden Panettiere does not end there. She is getting a lot of exposure compared to the rest of cast of Heroes. Well Ali Larter too is doing her bit in invading hehe…
Here are the shots of Hayden for the December issue of GQ magazine.

Here’s a video of behind-the-scenes from the GQ photoshoot.

All You Need Is …
Love. Yup, it’s a song title from The Beatles. And it’s the caption for the movie Across The Universe. Me like the Fab Four’s music. And dear gf got two complimentary pass to watch Across the Universe, a movie inspired by The Beatles creation. For all I know no, it’s a theatrical musical kind of movie. I don’t want to google too much about it so that I could be surprised by what is in store for me tonight. Frankly speaking, I am not that enthusiastic about it though. Good… let’s hope the movie kick my skeptical ass right between the cheeks.

The complimentary pass.
Geez… two and the half bowl rice, two plates of char siew, chicken, bean sprouts and barley makes you sleepy on a working Monday. And it’s been three straight meals of chicken since yesterday evening till today. I had the first one in Chicken Rice Shop (uek!), then another salted herbal chicken at my aunt’s place then lunch today at the famous char siew place in Alor courtesy of VinC. Yawn…
