Well, sort of. Actually it was Annie Leibovitz who breathed life into these classic Disney characters. They are Cinderella, Alice (Alice in Wonderland) and Prince (Sleeping Beauty). It was to promote Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Year of a Million Dreams campaign. Great shots.
Annie chose Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella, BeyoncĂ© Knowles as Alice and guess who… Beckham as Prince Phillip.

Hot Versus Cool

The next characters up for shooting would be Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Little Mermaid Ariel. I wonder which lucky celebrity would be chosen to portray them. Definitely not Robin Williams for Peter Pan eh and Julia Roberts for Tinker Bell, though they have the experience. Hehe…
Would shatter loads of childhood fantasies.

Drumroll please…

Claps and wolf whistle or do i hear howls of boos and sighs of disbelieve + discontent?
Adobe recently redesigned Photoshop’s logo. And I still can’t believe what I am seeing. Speechless. Best if you head over to this post to read more about it. Honestly, it does not appeal to me at all. Maybe I have seen too much of these effects around. Gosh… I will go roll down the stairs to clear my head. Tata.

Permanent ink anyone?
I have none on me but I enjoy looking at tastefully done skin art. But I try not too spend too much time looking at it as it makes me feel uneasy inside after a while. I realized that when I chose it as my design subject back in college. I was researching on it to a point where I was no longer interested in it. Some were just gross. After numerous hours and stares at grotesque permanent epidermis ‘art’ my only response was to finish the damn assignment be it shitty looking or not.

Would love to have a nice one on me but the idea of it drooping and discolouring under layers of flabby skin during my later years always gets to me. And I bet the tattoo artist won’t entertain me by flipping back and stretching my old skin and re-inking my ‘art’. Witnessing some history on shirtless uncles don’t exactly encourages me more.Anyway this anatomy tattoo gallery I found today is way cool. It’s really worth checking out. I particularly like the muscle one shown. Enjoy!

Oh and I heard that tattoos with godly icons should be always be done above the waist. A friend once told me, that a friend of a friend once did an image of Kuan Yin on his thigh and the moment he walked out of the tattoo parlour to cross the street he got knocked down by a car. Fatal or not I have no idea but talk about instant karma. Stupid decision.

Here’s the first day of my Bangkok trip in pictures. Just a few chosen ones. Happy scrolling.

The girls at LCCT departure hall.

We had several coconuts to drink. Yum…

I bought salted fish and dried cuttlefish here. Very fresh and nice. Wee… Will be making soup this weekend.
It’s hot and stuffy inside Chatuchak Market so best if you go in short pants and tshirts.

I saw a lot of students singing and urging public to make some donation or something. Sorry I had to save my baht. :P

I love their beef noodles. The meat are sliced thinly and the beef balls are chewy. Spicy soup… One of the many reasons why I am still coughing my lungs out.

One would be spoilt for choice at the pets section. Many animals were on sale. Be it husky to tortoise…
When we saw these bunnies, we just can’t help to think of Bit Bit. Look at them… aww…

Could not resist getting some roast pork here. Crunchy!

Cam-whoring at the MRT station.

Second round of shopping at Suan Lum.

My masseur of the day. Gave her RM2 tips. But the experience was nice. My virgin foot massage. Cha-ku-chee

She was enjoying every moment of hers. Damn… wished I had her masseur. Hers was the prettiest. Hehe…

Oh, if any of you wanted to get to your hotel from the airport try walking down and asking the taxis there instead of wasting 400baht for convenience sake when you ask for the limo service available at the arrival gates. We paid 400baht instead of 800baht and we even got the same driver to fetch us back to the airport for the same fee. Talk about saving our time and money.

Bangkok Pix Part 2

To be continued…

First this is a site I got today from evil@lai.

4 shutterbugs+cyclist+friends embarked on a journey where they will dedicate 16 days of their lives riding around Taiwan island. Its an ongoing thing so check it out. They are only at their 7th day today. You get to see a fraction of what they see and experience through the pictures they upload and their writings. Some goofing around pictures too that will bring a smile to your face. You can see how many hours they spend riding and how many kilometers they covered. This my friend is not about the final destination but the journey. Cool! Makes you wish the one with the face brushing against the light breeze is yours instead of being the one glaring at pictures in your cubicle or cramp room. *whine*

The last one would be the blog of infamous Namewee. A Johore compatriot who gained fame for his controversial MTV. Which one you ask? Negarakuku lo. Shall not elaborate on this. Google it or ask your neighbour. His blog is mainly in Chinese. Boohoo if you are like me. Anyway, browsing through would provide some insight too. Don’t worry there are Malay write ups for you to read la. NameWee’s Blog

No no no. It’s not the time for going outdoors and having sandwiches and finger foods with family and friends. Although one can see floating kites, picking blackberries, buttering sandwiches, stealing picnic baskets, fluffing clouds while waiting for Picnik to load. Those of you who blogs in the office without a photo editing software will definitely need to bookmark this. Seriously. Because Picnik will save you a lot of hassles and headache. And you could do it anywhere… it’s an online photo editor.

Quote from their site:
“With Picnik you can quickly edit all your online photos from one place. It’s the easiest way on the Web to fix underexposed photos, remove red-eye, or apply effects to your photos.”

I have tried their online demo and it works great. Upload your photo and tweak all you want. Choose from a horde of effects. And they are still in Beta Version. So expect loads to come. They could perhaps add a text button too.

I tried playing with the camera. And these are some photos taken using the Macro setting.

It has been many years since I got hold of a camera and snap away. Come to think of it, I have never really snapped away as much as I wanted to. During my third semester of my studies, my Photography lessons earned me a D+. Which is bad. Most of the time I have to drag myself to accomplish this feat. There were several reasons for my achievement.
1. I feel weird performing contortions in public all in the name of getting a good shot.
2. Developing films were expensive.
3. My lack of confidence of getting a good shot does not help.
4. Never really understood the meaning and functions of aperture, focal point, shutter speed and stuff.
5. It did not intrigues me, was doing it for the sake of getting it done. Assignments.

Alas, something took me over and I recently purchased a brand new digital camera. A Canon G7. It’s fun taking photos now. Having a favourite subject matter helps a lot. Am still in the midst of learning how to use it. My previous blog was filled with letters… hopefully now I could save on a few hundred thousand words or more. Yeah baby!

The Tool.

The first assignment was taking photos in Cameron Highlands. Will compile a few photos to be posted.
Will also show you what I have learned about this camera too. Yes, I am noob when it comes to this.
As a matter a fact, a lot of things. Hmm.
