Poof Gone The Whopper
Grabbed this when I was loitering yet again at Qiqi’s blog. She makes very tempting cakes. She promised to share some cake with me when she gets her oven. I am waiting… patiently.
Oh… sorry. Bit off course. Here is a video I watched and really think that it’s great. Burger King took up the idea and just went ahead and punk’d their own customers. Yeah… it’s reality tv + hidden camera concept that we have been fed over the past few years. Just see the people’s reaction towards the discontinuation of their much loved Whopper. Can you see the injustice plastered over their faces? Haha… Damn it makes me wanna have a Whopper myself too.

Niu Ze Xui, Ara Damansara
You may have heard it on the radio or on other media. It’s boasting to be one of the prime location for shopping and leisure. Niu Ze Xui (NZX) was launched on the New Year’s day and the crowd has been flocking to the new commercial center like ducks to a pond. Within one week, I have been there twice. Quite a number of shops are opened but they still lack products to sell. Most of them just put their stuff up for the sake of the opening. Can’t blame them for NZX is a brand new commercial center. Brought Food4Thot there last Friday and both of us agreed that it’s somewhat resembles Suan Lum Bazaar, Bangkok with a modern Malaysian twist. There are certain angles when it does reminds us of that place.
Here are some pictures taken on the auspicious opening night itself.

Blink Wink Hello Kitty

Thought that some of you might want to add in something special to your 2008 To Have List. This pair of Hello Kitty contact lenses might help elevate your status from kawaii to super kawaii. Could even land you a spot on the altar and getting worshiped as the Goddess of Cuteness. I said Goddess because I honestly believe only girls would dream of having a pair of those. Any guys are secretly lusting to put on a pair and purr? Do I see any perverted arms up with bushes of “ketiak” hair popping out?

Well don’t be shy. In fact, the nice people at Sanrio recognized the inner cravings of you man who need to be adorned in Hello Kitty wears. Random excerpt in Yahoo’s article recently, ” Hello Kitty turns attention to young men” :
- We think Hello Kitty is accepted by young men as a design statement in fashion.
- The usual bubble-headed shape of Hello Kitty was slightly changed for a more rugged, cool look to appeal to men in their teens and early 20s.
How rugged can it be? - The feline for-men products will go on sale in Japan next month, and will be sold soon in the U.S. and other Asian nations, according to Sanrio.
Yeah, just in time for Chinese New Year!
Honestly, if I got it for free I don’t mind. But definitely not going to splurge on some Hello Kitty stuff on my own. And how many of you will be freaked out when your gf/wife/auntie/mother/grandmother/niece/teacher/bus conductor/etc eyeballs you in a pair of Hello Kitty contact lenses?

You want sexy calendar a not?
It’s the last month of the year and here is something really really different to mark your days for 2008. Ok I know, it’s the festive month and it’s kind of inauspicious. But this is another proof that S E X sells. This time it’s a controversial marketing campaign for a hand-crafted casket maker in Rome, Italy.
Glamorous model shots with their caskets, just like what you would expect from a car photo shoot. In Mr. Maurizio Matteucci of Cofanifunebri’s own words, “It is good marketing but it is also a way to play down such a serious subject and to smile.
Coffins are consumer goods like any other things, so I sell in the same way as any other consumer goods are sold. The calendar is very popular.”
Now for some eye candy.

Images from Cofanifunebri official site.
It costs EURO € 2.70 which is RM13.25 after conversion. This is the price without shipping and handling. Oh and you can bet that these desktop accessories are selling like hotcakes. Guess the owner, is dead on. Definitely thinking out of the box… (that’s a tagline on the calendar… Mr. Maurizio sure is a funny guy)
Get a calendar! or Download the previews in zip (965Kb)
I edited a sample. Let’s say that they were selling chinese coffins instead. And they got some model to pose with the coffin. Give you free la… you want to have it?

Most Beautiful Rainbow I’ve Heard
Cute 6 year old with no front teeth. Sings amazingly well. DiaperTalk might consider putting his daughters through some vocal training. Hehe…
Seriously, all these are highly recommended. Let me know what you think of it ya. My comments are now flooded with spam comments daily instead. Sigh.
Her first single “Over the Rainbow”/”White Christmas” will be out on Dec 3rd 2007. Let’s wait a few more days to see if it makes huge waves ya. Thanks R again. Why no one gave me this link earlier?

I Know Nuts About Opera or Paul Potts
Another popular Pot from the UK huh. This time it’s just Potts. I had no inkling of who he is and when R, my exhousemate sent me the YouTube link I was not tempted to click it, at all. Nope. But I did anyway out of boredom and it was an audition for British’s Got Talent show. He blew me away hard. And it’s my first time seeing a standing ovation for an audition and even the judges were floored. Simon Cowell had nothing but praises I dare say. Watching it on YouTube can make you feel lil’ goose bumps let alone being in the presence of Paul Potts. Humble fellow to boot.
Audition
Semi-Final
Final
Are you impressed yet? I am not even an opera fan and he moved me somehow when even the late Pavarotti can’t. Maybe it was his humble beginnings and the fact that I was not expecting anything of that proportion to hit me. Smack!

Hayden in GQ mag … yum
I am a fan of the TV series Heroes but I have not watched a single episode of season two. I am not fond of having to chase and camp for every episode. I would rather wait for it to finish. The cheerleader has been saved hence the world is saved. Unfortunately it seems the onslaught of Hayden Panettiere does not end there. She is getting a lot of exposure compared to the rest of cast of Heroes. Well Ali Larter too is doing her bit in invading hehe…
Here are the shots of Hayden for the December issue of GQ magazine.

Here’s a video of behind-the-scenes from the GQ photoshoot.

Break some bones la…
Remember my previous post on some talent agency looking for people to do some Yamakasi moves / Parkour for some upcoming ads. It’s clear now that they are a lagging behind in the creative sector as DiGi has executed the idea beautifully in their follow-up ads to the Bootcamp concept.

Namewee is LOL yet again.
Once again our reluctant controversial rapper is back in action. Guess there is no need for introduction. Put on your headphones or pump up the volume and let it rip. No doubt he has the talent and creativity. But who are the ones giving a helping hand? Guess his crew or posse chooses to remain unseen and unheard. Take it with a pinch of salt or two tablespoons of it if you like. Digest it and don’t swallow whole.
It’s called 網路大戰 or Internet War.
And honestly, I don’t think finding where he stays would be a problem, if one wants to do that.

Colbie Caillat and Wanted
Heard this on the radio this morning and am loving Colbie Marie Caillat’s rendition of Bubbly. Give it a listen.
Visit her official site
And here is a movie trailer for the up and coming movie Wanted. Action packed ooo. There’s Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman. I have no idea who the hero in the movie is though. Did I mention that I like the movie Shoot ‘Em Up. It’s a no brainer all action anti-Bond movie. Hell yeah…
