Charmaine Sheh – Niu Spring Concert
Miss Charmaine Sheh is going over to Niu Ze Xui on the 27th January 2008. Event starts at 7.30pm but I bet you that the place will be swarmed. Morons will be parking on the yellow line thus turning the road into a single lane. It will be awfully congested that’s for sure. I think I will walk there since my house is several stone throws away only. Maybe some hardcore fans would want to camp out. There is a plot of abandoned land beside NZX. Can consider… Haha…
Stole this picture from LilPuffin.com *snicker*
I am an excited little puppy.

Oh… there are other artists also. Nearly forgot.

Reflection Room Back In Biz
I blogged about them before but for those of you who don’t know what it is about… here:
Reflection Room is, at its heart, an Art project. Its concept is to wed artistic expression, living space and material recycling. The tone is always colorful, fun, kitsch and accessible to everyone. Each room is inspired by the individuality of Thai artists, freedom of expression and recycling for meaningful urban lifestyle. Reflections Rooms is a friendly boutique for guests who love Art and Fantasy, and desire a different and out-of-ordinary experience staying in Bangkok.
Reflection Room has 17 unique rooms, each specially designed by talented Thai artists, commissioned by art impresario and owner Anusorn Ngernyuang. The artists also create innovative products for everyday use which are on sale. Their expressive paintings and objects are on display at the funky gallery-restaurant, combining artistic soul, great food, and the buzz of Bangkok street life.
In July last year they temporarily closed for renovation but reopened early this year for reservation. But they actually relocated to a new area, a lot more nearer to the weekend market Chatuchak. Currently they have completed 17 rooms but the expected units will be 44. They even introduced 4 news rates ranging from 1850 baht to 3450 baht. You can read about the designer and concept behind the room too. Wanted to stay here but since they were close, the people in Reflection recommended me LUXX Hotel instead. I still prefer Reflection Room after all.

Face Reading Essential
Thought that I share this with you all. Might come in handy sooner than you think and to ensure smoother sailing years ahead. Guys, you can print this and have it folded and slip it nicely into your wallet for those confounded moments when confronting the female species. Make an excuse to slip away to the washroom and refer. Could very well save your neck.

Hard to wave bye bye
A colleague of mine is considering to send a relative of his to a care home since it has been a hassle taking care of him lately. All I know is that he and his family have been running around the state over the past few weekends making personal checks on care homes for the particular relative.
Visited his house once when my colleague organized a potluck thing last year and unfortunately the relative was having one of his tantrum days. Well it was not that bad actually, for he just toppled a plate of jelly on the floor when my friend’s parents did not allow him to eat as it was not “appropriate” for his digestive system. Being the visitors we just kept quiet and pretended nothing happened though later our friend apologized for what happened.
Mmm… guess it’s a bit hard sending away a relative as my friend said that it has caused a little tension and brought mixed feelings to the family the past few days. Hope all turns out well.

Poof Gone The Whopper
Grabbed this when I was loitering yet again at Qiqi’s blog. She makes very tempting cakes. She promised to share some cake with me when she gets her oven. I am waiting… patiently.
Oh… sorry. Bit off course. Here is a video I watched and really think that it’s great. Burger King took up the idea and just went ahead and punk’d their own customers. Yeah… it’s reality tv + hidden camera concept that we have been fed over the past few years. Just see the people’s reaction towards the discontinuation of their much loved Whopper. Can you see the injustice plastered over their faces? Haha… Damn it makes me wanna have a Whopper myself too.

Joseph Arthur + Frank Bell
This is the initial musician that I wanted to blog about right before Damien Rice hit me again.
I only have three song of his on my playlist and Echo Park is one that I like a lot. In The Sun is a popular song from Joseph Arthur which gets a lot of exposure in TV Series like the L Word, Scrubs and bla bla bla.
Diverse artist with different styles and always experimenting. Well the fact that he is also an artist and sculptor just made me raise my brows just a wee bit. I am hooked on most of his older songs. The newer ones I think I need some adjusting too. Oh Joseph Arthur does reminds me of John Lennon + Noel Gallagher.

Another song I would love you guys to check out is Honey and The Moon. It’s a song featured in The O.C. Pardon the video feed though the audio is quite good.

Patung Koyak
Am feeling a little thrashed right now.
Spent a few hours in Batu Caves climbing with them and I only did 3 routes. One simple one but the other two really exhausted me. Hung at 20m of a 6B crux and after several attempts I gave up. Battery no more strength. Spent about 25 minutes or more on that. Now I am feeling the backlash on my forearms and back.
And good news is I knocked up my back on the door frame when I tried to squat down to check out the bunny. Argh.
Luckily for me, it’s the weekend in seven hours time.

Picture picture picture…
Ha… a month from now and I will be back in my hometown pigging out and relaxing with my family and friends. And during this time too, mahjong tiles and poker cards will be somewhat the stars of the evening till early morning. It’s during this time of the year my cousins will be back with a vengeance. All out for each other… a free for all. Mostly… I feel are out to get me. To bleed me dry… Yeah yeah… I am not a good mahjong player. Nope not a card fan too.
But my occasional venture in the online poker arena does tell me otherwise. Well, not BIG money but better than being gutted and laughed at by little cousins right? Haha… anyway it was fun playing with them… for it was more relaxing and not those palpitating moments one would have when visiting the casinos that good old Uncle Lim brought us.

Those of you who love to learn new stuff… or just check out how something is done should really have a look at HowToons.com. It’s not your everyday DIY site, where there are just step by step instructions with a photo or two thrown in.

Nuffnang Gliteratti – Loyalty Program
Got another mail from Nuffnang informing me of a new exclusive program. Ha… another new marketing strategy by Nuffnang. I like the sound of it… Gliteratti. They should come up with a tagline… maybe something that goes like this :
Join Nuffnang Gliteratti, else kena makan roti!
Yes… another lame one liner from me.
So what is the Gliteratti about? As far as I know it’s a loyalty program where Nuffnang will give better perks and put those who sign up qualify for this, in line first than the normal Nuffnangers. 6 reasons are given to why you should be on the Gliteratti list from better payment rates to contests. You might want to read it here.
Everything you want and need to know is there. The program will commence on the 13th of January 2008… and now I am contemplating of removing my latest blog ad revenue and give my all to Nuffnang. I got a few more days to ponder about it. Let’s see how it goes.
