Tag : 5 Classes To Attend
It’s the holidays and I am all alone at home. Got tagged by SlowCatchUpKuan and why don’t I finish it while listening to
Texas’s Say What You Want on her site. Since 2008 is dawning upon us, here is some classes that I would like to sign up for.
Class #1 – How to Absorb Other People’s Power
Yeah… be like Peter Petrelli from Heroes and obtain their power just by mingling or be near to any of them.
Class #2 – How to Cook Great Tasting Food
I like to eat. I hope I can make some lip smacking ok ok… edible food and enjoy together with my family and friends.
Class #3 – How to Shape Shift
Turn into anyone or anything whenever I want. That would be useful.
Class #4 – How to Find a Magic Lamp
Metamorphically speaking it’s just like getting something I want and trying to make it come true. I need my magic lamp.
Class #5 – How to Learn More New Things
Loads of times that I am excited to learn new things but somehow or rather I am inclined to start. I need a push. I need a kick in my ass to start my motor.
Another lame 5 classes from me. Hope that I graduated from at least one or two classes from the above. Whom shall I tag? I need to scout around. List coming soon.

Ridin’ on the sore eye
Yup. I confess. I did. I went for it.
Initially when it started I never had the slightest notion to give the white elephant a try. That was before… *clears throat* skip *aaa*
Anyway, since it was December, the last month that the giant ferris wheel will be around, I thought hey why don’t we go for a ride. So I got my brother and his gf, my gf and me. And yeah we smuggled the little one too. What was the excuse given again for the last minute installation of this thing? Well it kind of looks like a last minute decision to erect something like this to me. Especially only 2 weeks for soil testing.
If I am not mistaken, these 42 air-conditioned gondolas was setup in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 campaign cum 50th Merdeka celebration. So it’s like a gimmick to get the foreigners to come over and have a 30 mins queue (lucky ones) for a 10 mins ride overlooking a lake and some not so attractive night lights. Honestly, I did not see any non-Malaysians there that I could identify. Worst was I had a couple of braggers in the VIP line barking that they got theirs free because they are some traveling agency and that they could get as many free passes as they wish. Fat fuck and company even lauded at us idiots who need to pay and queue up.
I moved around in the gondola too much while taking pictures and it made me felt sick. Sigh.

Muaks… kiss my RM30 goodbye.

BitBit the stowaway. We did not let him out as we had to share our gondola with two malay girls. Don’t want them to ring the alarm.

Big money.

If they fix this thing in between the towers, then that would be fun. Surely would attract visitors bringing them to a dizzy new height. And one can be sure that Singapore can’t compete then as they have only durians.
Speaking of which I heard that there will be an extension for the Visit Malaysia campaign as it was not successful. Do I foresee that this piece of spinning metal will be here for another year?
It came with a RM30 million price tag for a one year installation. So how…
For those who still have not given this baby a try. Don’t.

Announcement : Adopt Terry

Adoption Canceled
My friend is moving to a new place and it seems she does not have much space for Terry anymore. With heavy heart she has to give him up for adoption.
She had the dog since June 2006… when he was still a pup. Am not too sure about the breed though.
Saw him once and he is one healthy, mischievous, funny and cute little one. Toilet trained. Follow commands like roll over, sit and other stuff.
Anyone interested? If yes, check out her blog and contact her or leave a message here and I will let her know. Cheers!
Read her post : Adoption Anyone
Update :
Terry’s current location is in PJ.
More Updates:
It seems that auntie (dragon girl’s mama) has kinda feel attached to Terry and now he is staying put. So the adoption is off. Thanks a lot for all your kind attention though.

Lousy LRT
Stupid train has unscheduled maintenance a much better phrase than saying that it bloody broke down. Spent nearly 50+ mins in it. It was bearable for me as I was standing in the passenger seats section. Not much space for more commuters. But upon arriving at KL Sentral station all hell break loose. As soon as a few passenger alighted many others swarm in. To add to the chaos, the officer on duty… dressed in those cop uniform brayed out “Tolak sama mereka kerana tidak mahu masuk ke dalam lagi!”. Everyone was already rooted to a small leg space and the idiot still ordered them to push inwards. Dipshit did not stood inside the train long enough to know how lousy it is and all he knows is just belching out orders like that. Bloody hell, Putra should train their dogs to stand in a compartment for an hour or so with bad ventilation so that they know what they are talking about. Or if there are breakdowns in the near future, throw in their mama or papa or 3rd auntie, I will surely push them. Could even stand on them for you. Poor girls being pushed around, especially by a Texan-wannabe. Strapped with an old fading Alba watch and a stained yellow stripe shirt, sweaty one of course on his back. Unkempt beard and looking all macho in his gold rimmed original pirated Ray Ban with another pair of myopic glasses dangling around his man-tits. What a sight. I believe I could taste him in the crammed compartment if I snorted a little harder. Which I did not of course.
Don’t it just made my day. I could accept breakdowns once in a while but the inconsiderate staffs, definitely not.
Anyway I won’t be taking the LRT from tomorrow onwards till after Christmas. Yeah…

Stereotypist : 50 questions answered
No not the interview boring approach of course. His stick man doodles does it for John Campbell. Perk up your day or get at least some of your questions thats stuck in your mind involving things happening in our universe answered. Or at least shed some lights on them. *cough* No. I am not really serious about that.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll get.

Human Calendar®
I added another new widget in my blog. It’s the *drumroll* Human Calendar *tadaa*
It’s the second baby project of Craig Giffen. His first was the Human Clock.

It’s cool and it’s new. Do check it out if it interests you. There is 4 sizes to choose from.
Here is what Mr. Craig has to say about his calendar models :
All of the “models” are various homogeneous friends of mine who happened to find themselves near my garage between April-July 2007. Granted, most were lured with beer, food, lodging, or in one case…meat. Nearly everyone is from Portland, Oregon with the occasional person from Saipan or Sacramento thrown in for good measure. Some people are in bands, a couple are writers, one person was in an episode of Murder, She Wrote, while another person accidentally murdered Kelly Ripa’s pet sea monkeys when she was 12.
What a bunch of interesting characters.

Solo Cake Plate
Yummy. Am digging the simplicity of the design of Jung-Suk Choi from Korea. It’s a disposable single slice cake plate with its own feeding apparatus. All one needs to do is just fold + tear + fold. And voila, your personal cake plate. My company used to have monthly celebrations of birthdays. We would be having nice chocolate/cheese/fruit/pecan/blablabla cakes every now and then. That’s when I eat gobble up bits of tissues too. Duh…

Looks simple enough to be copied though. Wonder when/if any packaging company out there would bastardized Jung-Sok Choi’s clever design?

Bringing back the blings
![]() |
Let me bring you the new old ways of glitter glamor. Animated gifs have been something of a past. A lost or shall I say forgotten piece of art. Designers nowadays tend to avoid having to deal with the time consuming process of creating even a simple gif animation. I know I am. Guilty. All attention has been channeled towards Flash animation which is easier and faster to create. And it offers more flexibility and a wider playground.

But I was blown away when my eyeballs were somehow attracted to the shimmering glitz of these babies.

Most of the illustrations are from Micth O’ Connell an all rounder illustrator and the glitter graphics pimpings are done by a Miss Colleen Fry. It’s a free for all now so go check out the gallery and take what you want. Really awesome work I must say. Go ahead and “Gif a friend a gif today!” Pun intended. Can’t you see?

Wait a minute. It seems Ms. Colleen and her talented friend Ms. Jessica Adel have got a site up featuring all these eye blinding shimmering-ness. Go check it out at Glitter Graphics. Don’t mind me.

I heard it through the…

What do you get when you put 4 women with good taste in food, style, fashion and knows how to enjoy themselves? Oh don’t forget great marketing skills. The result, drumroll please… an attractive website called Grapevine.com. The site is loaded with information from shopping tips, fashion insights to family matters. It’s basically a place where the Grapevine Girls share their lives with everyone who is willing to click. Be prepared to be flooded with information and be tempted to get a pen and paper to jot down a MUST HAVE list. Heck, one can even take a peek at their closet and see what the Grapevine Girls like to strut their stuff in.
There are cooking recipes and an interior design section to kick start anyones design senses. And I bet my friend Sherry would love their book recommendations that they have on their websites but the movie section prove to be a little too lovey dovey for my taste. Haha…
It’s definitely a site for every girl and honestly, it’s worth a guy’s click every now and then too, especially when you want some ideas for what to get your lady friend for Christmas.

Disney Characters Comes To Life – Part 2
Annie Leibovitz’s latest work will be gracing the pages of many popular lifestyle magazines this festive month. It’s actually the follow up to the Disney’s “Year of a Million Dreams” theme. The previous potrait series shots includes David Beckham as Prince Phillip, Scarlet Johansson as Cinderella and Beyonce as Alice In Wonderland. Check my previous post.
This time round however we have world #1 tennis ace, Roger Federer posing as King Arthur, Rachel Weisz as Snow White and Julie Andrews as Blue Fairy (Pinocchio) and lil’ Abigail Breslin assumes a young Fira fairy.
Click on the images for desktop wallpapers.
Caution : Very big size.
