Amazon Japan – Custom Shipping Box Robot

Don’t think the little fellow here can transform. Hehe… but what if he does?
It’s a robot toy commissioned by Amazon Japan. It would be on sale in December and going for USD15. Another gift idea for Xmas huh.
from HOBBY BLOG:
“This collectors toy is a customization of original Revoltech Dunboard figure, from the manga Yotsuba, produced by Kaiyodo and designed by Azuma Kiyohiko (of Azumanga Daioh fame) and Yotsuba Sutazio.”
I googled Yotsuba and it seems like a worthwhile manga to read. Wonder if I could get online scanslations version of it.

Early Xmas Gift Idea
Christmas is just around the corner. Aaa… the time for giving and sharing. Here is a gift that’s going to be treasured and could be included into the family heirloom too. Check out the cool looking briefcase with the ever popular bunny logo.

It’s the Playboy: The Complete Centerfolds edition and yes, it comes in hardcover, of course. It would definitely brighten up any rainy Sunday afternoons instantly, boring Saturday nights and make slow riding of the porcelain pony more enjoyable. You might even look forward to them. It could also be your sleeping lifelong companion when you go travelling eg. being the pillow. After all said and done… I am sure HornyAngMoh would be very interested in this. I know I am… a bit. It’s an archive of excellent photography and not some sleazy snapshots. Right? Definitely a wise investment.

Jogoya 2nd Anniversary Promo
Any of you are huge japanese buffet fans? Jogoya is having their second anniversary promotion and it seems the ladies are being offered a 50% discount for dining in on Monday to Wednesday. That’s around RM50 right? Meanwhile the guys gets a complimentary prawn cuisine. People like Sponkers who have issues with prawns will definitely frown at it. Girls, if it’s priced around the same like Shogun in 1Utama, I would definitely urged you to go to Jogoya, Starhill. The last time I went their food was so much fresher compared to the Shogun in 1U (eee…). And they changed their ice cream from Moven Pick to Häagen-Dazs. Yup you can bury your sweet face in free flow ice cream too. Check out the e-flyer for more.

Break some bones la…
Remember my previous post on some talent agency looking for people to do some Yamakasi moves / Parkour for some upcoming ads. It’s clear now that they are a lagging behind in the creative sector as DiGi has executed the idea beautifully in their follow-up ads to the Bootcamp concept.

Namewee is LOL yet again.
Once again our reluctant controversial rapper is back in action. Guess there is no need for introduction. Put on your headphones or pump up the volume and let it rip. No doubt he has the talent and creativity. But who are the ones giving a helping hand? Guess his crew or posse chooses to remain unseen and unheard. Take it with a pinch of salt or two tablespoons of it if you like. Digest it and don’t swallow whole.
It’s called 網路大戰 or Internet War.
And honestly, I don’t think finding where he stays would be a problem, if one wants to do that.

HKFixed on MILK…again
It seems these guys are getting some buzz around town lately. And with the launch of the MASH-SF DVD (documentary on urban fixed gear riding). Calvin just sent me some scans he got from the latest issue of MILK magazine. I did not include huge ass scan files cos I did not see any clicks on the previous ones. If any of you are interested to have them in huge ass files to view, let me know. I will kindly oblige. As for now, here’s the scans in micro size.

And yeah, I got some stickers from Brian of HKFixed through snail mail. Will snap some photos of it when I get my camera back tonight.

Giddy up and No child’s play
Was on mc yesterday due to diarrhea. Had to wake up a few times in the middle of the night to ride the porcelain pony. Was practically riding with my eyes wide shut. Am not sure what caused it though. Perhaps the curry laksa I ate? Mmm. Anyway a visit to the doctor and taking the med as prescribed settled it. Did some laundry and I was out to Summit to climb.
Luckily I did not shat on my belayer, which happens to be Eddie. Had a good climb yesterday for I managed to finish two 7a routes. My first 7as. So happy… but honestly I think the route was over-rated. It could be a 6C/6C+ at best. Anyway it was fun. Balance and some technical moves but not too much strength. Gave a 7B route a shot but alas… the dyno move part was not that easy. Gave up after several tries.
Oh yeah, a talent scout approached the few of us when we were resting. He said he was looking for some talent for a commercial shot. I shall not reveal who/where/when/why as it might be trade secret for now. As for how, his requirements was simple (according to him) : get it on like the guys in Yamakasi. I drew a blank at the mention of that. Actually I was amused by the suggestion, as it was directed at us. How to do wor… so hard. Yamakasi le… not child play sand wor.
Erm… did I lose you back there on the Yamakasi thing? Well check the video out so you know what I am talking about.
In one sentence Yamakasi means a practitioner of art of displacement (parkour), free running, street stunts and other types of acrobatics. Wikipedia
Yamakasi I cannot. Kamikaze I should have no problem. So any of your friends can do it? I would be waiting to see the outcome of this ad. Interesting to have some talents like this in Malaysia.
Check out the movie if you have never seen or heard it before. It’s a French movie though.

As the shower curtains part…
It’s my 101 post and let’s celebrate it by hitting the shower in style. Oh yeah…

Ain’t it cool… the periodic table design for shower curtains. I like it a lot if you see it from a design perspective. It does not excite me as much if I have to study it. Yes, I suck at chemistry, badly. For parents who have kids in the science streams, all the better… you could be nagging at your kid to study in style with a bloody big periodic table of K, Ni, Na, C, Au, C, Ba, I and other elements staring at them whenever they are buck naked. They would be learning it without realizing in no time. How functional. They can piss and spit on it in anger but it’s easy to clean. So no worries.
For younger tots, there’s the weather cycle curtain. Very educational. Cleaning up will never be the same.

Alien Abduction Lamp
Haha… this is so funny but I am certain a few person I know would love to have this on their table.

The brief:
Abduction is a lamp for Sci-Fi fans of all ages.
A light bulb inside the metal UFO lights up the beam and the windows. The glass of the beam is frosted to distribute light in all directions.
It’s still at a concept stage, so you can’t buy it even if you have money. Maybe you could pester the designer, Lasse Klein to hasten the project.
Have a look at it at The Alien Abduction Lamp website for more images and information. You could abduct a cow or human. Great stuff…
