McD Buffet and Pinball Rat
Its that time of the year again which only means we will be having Hari Raya holidays in a months time. Wow… time flies. I see my Malay colleagues are all enduring their first day of fasting. As Adam Sandler or Rob Schneider, “You can do it!”
If I remembered correctly 3 years during this Ramadhan month, Ryan, Jerri and I launched an assault on a McDonald franchise in Bangi which resulted in bloated tummies, high cholesterol level and bad constipation. Not many people know that McDonald organizes buffet during the fasting month. Ronald and friends love to see us stuff our face silly with Big Mac, Ayam Goreng McD, McNuggets, Apple Pie and Sundae Cones while gulping down mouthfuls of Coke. Well the McD stint had me stayed away from any other outlets for a good couple of months. Never had I ate so much of McD stuff before. I had Spicy Chicken McDeluxe, Fillet-O-Fish, 2pc Ayam Goreng McD, >12pcs of McNuggets, French Fries, Sundae Cone, 2 Coke and a few bits of Cheeseburger. Not sure if I left out anything but that night I stopped and got myself 2 packets of ENO before going home. I spent quite a substantial amount of time riding the porcelain pony for a couple of days, mind you. Ryan even made one or 2 more trips back there… Bravo!!! Salute!!!
Well the 3 of us cleared nearly RM100 of McD food stuff that night.
For those of you who would love to give it a go, here. Click for larger image.

Its available only at selected outlets. So check them out before you go barging into any outlets lusting for Big Mac freeflow or whatever.
Oh and a follow up to the Ratatouille post. Here is a pinball game called Rat’N'Roll.

Damn, I am still sick. Coughing now. Only 2 more days to go… Argh…

Update : MyStyle works – Nando’s
This is an update post for Go walk walk eat eat with Kyife
Had a free meal at Nandos earlier just now using the Mystyle sms voucher. It works people!
I showed the text message before ordering and the manager viewed it and deleted the message for me. Waited for a while before my 1/4 Extra Peri Peri Chicken with rice came. Well, a RM3.50 message in exchange for a RM10.80 meal is worth it ya? ![]()
The only voucher I could use for Nandos for the rest of the year is the “MY365 nandos” for FREE bottomless drinks. Still not bad right?
Am looking forward for more stuff from the site.

Check my bill.

Go walk walk eat eat with Kyife
Popped over to kyife’s blog and he was raving about Mystyle. According to what he wrote its some voucher redemption thingy. He went to Ryu Men Tei and had loads to eat with pictures to brag about too. Those enticing graphic images no doubt managed to arouse my desire to feast shamelessly at 50%. Haha… So yes, curiosity got the better of me and I clicked to check it out. Well the site is not that fancy but that’s not my main concern. I want my food. Clicked all around and saw some merchants that interest me. KIV a few.
Since my gf happen to be loitering around KLCC on a Friday evening, I figured why don’t we go have some Nandos for dinner followed by New Zealand Natural for dessert. Stuff my face with food as its the weekend. I had the choice of a FREE One 1/4 chicken with rice at Nandos or FREE bottomless soft drink with any chicken meal order. No prize for guessing what I wanted. Wait a minute… since there are both of us, my gf will order another 1/4 chicken so could she redeem a FREE bottomless soft drink too? That would make 1 whole meal for FREE. Will try this out. (Bummer, checked out their Consumer FAQ and I am not allowed to do so. Guessed they figured me out.)
As for dessert, its a Buy 1 Free 1 thing. After reading the FAQ, I am having second thoughts… of whether to have an ice cream. Mmm…
For your info, the MY111 code is to be used ONCE a year and it costs RM3.50, while the MY365 code could be used all year round with a charge of RM1.50.
Although the FAQ dampen my evil schemes but it still would be a great try. Will update soon.

Casper’s Great Escape, nearly
Today officially marks Casper’s disappearance for 1 week.

But to hell with it… everything is fine now. Am so glad.
I could tell when my phone started playing Scooby Doo’s theme song. I spoke to C earlier after dinner regarding our trip to Muar, so there was no special reason for him to call me again. I had been secretly hoping that the poodle will find his way back to C and YF’s arms. Not forgetting GSC @ godmother too although she is far away back north. Been a gloomy week ever since last Merdeka as Casper staged his own big break leaving his sister, Crumbs behind. C and YF looked sad and listless even my aunts speculated that they cried before coming to dinner. They rushed straight back after receiving a call from their groomer saying that Casper was spotted. Alas, it was a false alarm.
Anyway, my bro voiced out his plight in a pet forum and someone got a whiff of it and called C after spotting Casper. He wanted to delay the news but he sucked at it cos his voice was filled with excitement and I could hear YF’s happy voice behind. Sorry bro, you can’t Gotcha! me. ![]()
Guess C have to do something to the gates now. Better be safe than sorry. Luckily it ended well. *relief sigh*
No more sad emo MSN nicks. Thank god.
Any of you out there had their beloved pets went missing before?

Do you dig Marié Digby?
Well, she was the YouTube phenomenon. Until recently it was revealed that she was actually a signed artist with Hollywood Records. Marié Digby was brought on to the label in year 2005, 18 months before she started making waves in YouTube and eventually the world. It was actually a well executed strategy by the people at the record company. They consulted her what song to cover and even distributed studio quality recording to iTunes and radio stations.
The media giants are already evolving and taking the internet seriously as the younger generation are responding more to YouTube and MySpace compared to radios. I think this could be because it seems that we are connecting directly to the artists rather than going through some already dolled up fully packaged recording artiste. And stumbling upon your own new rising star is so much more exciting than having to read it off some printed materials.
Take a listen to Marié. Go to YouTube for more of her songs.
To me, she is good and talented. Will see how she fares with her own album.
We had our own Karen Kong promoting herself too on Friendster some time back.
And in case you don’t know, Italian Maestro, Pavarotti just passed away. Read it on Yahoo! News.
See : YouTube phenom has a big secret
